Program / Project Manager Active Alignment of Optical Systems (Rochester, NY)

Job description

  • You will work closely with our US customers as well as our teams in the US and Germany on state-of-the-art product and process development projects in the Automotive and Consumer Electronics fields
  • Work with our technology and business teams to create a high value proposition
  • Create and manage Statement of work documents and quotations
  • Engage with customers on how to best apply our technology to their applications
  • Create project plans, communicate to all stake holders, mitigate risks and track completion of the projects
  • Work hands-on with the team to bring projects to a successful conclusion

Required technical qualifications

  • BE, Master or PhD in Optics, Physics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years professional experience with proven track record in the Consumer Electronics or Automotive industry, preferably with an focus on optics
  • Practical Experience in Systems Engineering and process automation
  • Willingness to think out of the box and learn quickly
  • Experience with AR/VR systems and/or automotive cameras for ADAS a big plus

Required inter-personal qualifications

  • Strong drive and motivation to get things done
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills in an international setting
  • Strong project management skills
  • Willingness to travel about 30% of the time

Mechanical Design Engineer Active Alignment of Optical Systems (Rochester, NY)

Job description

  • You will work closely with our US customers as well as our teams in the US and Germany on state-of-the-art product and process development projects in the Automotive and Consumer Electronics fields
  • Design machine parts and fixtures for R&D and production equipment and generate corresponding documentation
  • Build, test and optimize prototypes together with customers based on existing Trioptics technology
  • Engage with customers on how to best apply our technology to their applications and make proposals of how to improve customer designs for manufacturability
  • Work hands-on with the team to bring projects to a successful conclusion

Required technical qualifications

  • BE or Master in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years professional experience with proven track record in the Consumer Electronics or Automotive industry, preferably with a strong optics background
  • Solid background in 3D MCAD (Solidworks)
  • Experience with process automation and precision mechanics
  • Willingness to think out of the box and learn quickly
  • Good knowledge of safety standards for production equipment
  • Experience with AR/VR systems and/or automotive cameras for ADAS is a big plus

Software Engineer Active Alignment of Optical Systems (Rochester, NY)

Job description

  • You will work closely with our US customers as well as our teams in the US and Germany on state-of-the-art product and process development projects in the Automotive and Consumer Electronics fields
  • Develop interfaces between customer camera sensors, displays, etc. and Trioptics software
  • Customize machine control software to specific applications, teach positions and optimize sample handling
  • Build, test and optimize prototypes together with customers based on existing Trioptics technology
  • Work hands-on with the team to bring projects to a successful conclusion

Required technical qualifications

  • BE or Master in Software Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years professional experience developing hardware-centric software and/or in an automation environment
  • Solid background in C++/Python/C# and programming PLCs
  • Willingness to think out of the box and learn quickly
  • Experience with AR/VR systems and/or automotive cameras for ADAS is big plus

Electronics Engineer Active Alignment of Optical Systems (Rochester, NY)

Job description

  • Develop hardware interfaces to customer camera sensors, displays, etc. and Trioptics hardware in close collaboration with our software engineers
  • Build, test and optimize prototypes together with customers based on existing Trioptics technology
  • Work hands-on with the team to bring projects to a successful conclusion

Required technical qualifications

  • BE or Master in Electrical Engineering with focus on digital interfaces and sensor technology
  • 5+ years professional experience developing hardware-centric software and/or working in an automation environment
  • Solid background in digital electronics, hardware interfaces (MIPI, SPI, I2C, CAN) and PCB design
  • Willingness to think out of the box and learn quickly
  • Experience with AR/VR systems and/or automotive cameras for ADAS is a big plus

Service and Applications Engineers (Rancho Cucamonga, CA or Rochester, NY)

In your role as Service and Applications Engineer, you are working with both our customers and our internal R&D teams to make sure our customers get the optimal Trioptics solution for their application.

You are involved in all stages of the sales process: from discussing applications with customers, proof-of-concept studies, discussing instrument configurations, installation and training at the customer
site to after-sales support. We expect you to establish and maintain strong working relationships throughout all levels of the internal and external organizations.

Job responsibilities:

  • Identify customer’s needs and sales opportunities and suggest technical solutions for optical metrology and production equipment
  • Travel to customer sites to perform installations, training, calibrations, equipment moves, repairs, maintenance and other required product support services
  • Maintain expert level of product and application knowledge for several Trioptics product lines
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed
  • Resolve customer service issues or difficulties
  • Maintain professional business relationships with customers
  • Provide status of ongoing projects and future projects

Required qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Optics, Physics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent successful experience in an Optics industry role
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience, preferably in an Optics field
  • Ability to read and understand optical, mechanical and electrical drawings and documentation
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • US citizenship is required in compliance with ITAR regulations
  • 30%-50% travel is required
  • Practical knowledge of Trioptics instruments is a big plus
  • Customer Service or Sales Support experience preferred
  • Background in optics and optical manufacturing preferred
